世界杯进失是什么？
进球叫“goal”，丢球叫“own goal”，整个进球过程叫做“scoring” 进一球叫“to score a goal” 进两球叫“to score two goals” 进三球叫“to score three goals” 进四球叫“to score four goals”以此类推……
获得进球的机会叫“open the scoring” 第一个进球叫“to score the first goal” 第二个叫“to score the second goal”……第三个叫“to score the third goal”……第四个叫“to score the fourth goal……”以此类推…… 扳平比分叫“level the scores/tie the game”，领先对方一球叫“take the lead”（注意此lead非彼lead）
在比赛中打入一球，哪怕这是你本场比赛的唯一进球，也不能说你“to score”了多少，只能说“to score this goal”，因为这一球是具体的。而如果你打入了本届世界杯的第10个进球，可以说“to score ten goals” 一个赛季进了20个头，不能说“to score twenty goals”。要说“to net twenty goals”
点球打进算进球吗？当然算！只要是符合足球比赛规则的进球都算。但要注意，这看似像手榴弹的进球并不能改变什么，该输的还是得输——守门员就算扑出了点球，也只能救球队于一时的危机，而不能真正逆转乾坤、反败为胜。所以我说点球是“无用功”。真要想把球送进对方大门，还得靠脚法说话。
